Leonard Rose

Violoncelliste américain (Washington 1918-White Plains, près de New York, 1984).

Engagé par Toscanini en 1938 pour l'orchestre de la NBC, il y fut nommé premier violoncelle. Il devint ensuite le violoncelliste du trio comprenant le violoniste I. Stern et le pianiste E. Istomin. Il interpréta notamment Bach, Beethoven, Saint-Saëns et Tchaïkovski (Variations sur un thème rococo).
